Dr. Jim Spurgeon is an Oklahoma native, a University of Oklahoma graduate and has been practicing in Norman for over thirty years. He is one of only 7% of general dentists who has earned the distinction of a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). He is also a talented “Mr. Fix it”, who spends his free time remodeling his house on Lake Eufaula. Whether it’s building cabinets, furniture, or fabricating a custom faucet from an old cast iron pitcher, he finds joy in creating beauty…both personally and as a dentist!

Dr. Spurgeon has advanced training in implants, full mouth reconstruction, dental surgery and Invisalign. This training makes him uniquely qualified to treat a wide array of dental needs, utilizing multiples approaches and techniques to restore patient smiles and confidence. Dr. Spurgeon and his team have created beautiful smiles for hundreds of people, including local Heisman trophy winner Jason White and Mrs. Oklahoma 2008, Allison Greco. He has also been involved with casting calls for hit TV shows, such as “America’s Next Top Model” and ABC’s “Extreme Makeover.”

Aside from his “celebrity status” (haha), Dr. Spurgeon is an avid community volunteer and gives his time to the dental D-dent program and Mission of Mercy. He is also an active member of Lindsey Chapel Baptist Church. A great dentist AND a great guy? Yes please!

A man of many interests, his hobbies include photography, woodworking, racquetball, snow skiing (moguls are his favorite!), water skiing and scuba diving. Dr. Spurgeon often plans vacations around the landscape photographs that he wants to capture and he loves watching the Mecum Auto Auction—his dream car is a 1965 Shelby Cobra. Vroom vroom.

Dr. Brett Leemaster is Sooner Born and Sooner Bred. He grew up in Moore where his father was (and still is) a practicing dentist! His dad’s example motivated Dr. Leemaster to become a dentist himself, so he pursued his undergrad degree and DDS from the University of Oklahoma. Fun fact: he eats queso EVERY time OU scores a touchdown when he’s watching at home. Yum Dr. Leemaster was also accepted into the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at OU and spent this additional year receiving advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, implant placement & restoration, and wisdom tooth removal. As a result, he is skilled across multiple specialties, to treat a wide variety of dental issues utilizing advanced techniques and procedures.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Leemaster is a dedicated runner who qualified for the 2020 Boston Marathon! However, it was cancelled so he is currently training to run in Fall 2021 or Spring 2022. He and his wife, Alesha, have one kiddo who keeps them very busy with little league sports. As a family, they enjoy camping, hiking, exploring national parks and vacations (NYC is their favorite destination). He’s also an avid spreadsheet user so you can bet those vacations are organized and run like clockwork!
