Dr. Erick Anderson, DMD, is a Colorado Springs native, second-generation dentist, and comprehensive family dentist at Espire Dental Colorado Springs. With more than two decades of experience serving his hometown, he provides family dentistry, dental implant treatment, esthetic dentistry, and TMD therapy for adults and children across Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Fountain, Monument, and Security-Widefield.

Dr. Anderson’s clinical focus includes preventive dental care for children and adults, comprehensive restorative dentistry, cosmetic and esthetic smile care, dental implant placement, implant restoration, occlusal and bite analysis, temporomandibular disorder (TMD/TMJ) therapy, and long-term treatment planning. Education and Clinical Training

Dr. Anderson earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Willamette University in Oregon. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Oregon Health & Science University Dental School.

After dental school, Dr. Anderson completed his General Practice Residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. He went on to serve three years as Chief Dental Officer on the USS Camden and was deployed to the Persian Gulf, an experience that strengthened his leadership, discipline, and ability to provide dental care in demanding clinical settings.

Dr. Anderson has completed advanced post-doctoral training in occlusion and TMD therapy at the Dawson Academy, one of dentistry’s respected centers for bite, function, and comprehensive restorative principles. He also completed training in the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants at The Misch International Implant Institute, supporting his work with patients who need implant treatment from diagnosis through restoration.

Deep Community Roots and an Award-Winning Reputation

Dentistry is a family legacy for Dr. Anderson. His father, Dr. Richard Anderson, began practicing in Colorado Springs in 1966, and Dr. Anderson later had the privilege of practicing alongside him for 10 years before his father’s retirement in 2018. Together, they co-founded Anderson Family Dental in 2009, the practice that is now Espire Dental Colorado Springs.

That continuity matters. Espire Dental Colorado Springs still serves patients and families who have trusted the practice since its original West Colorado Avenue location in the 1960s. Dr. Anderson’s reputation reflects that long record of care, including recognition as a “Top Dentist” in both 5280 Magazine and Colorado Springs Style magazine, along with Gold in the Gazette’s Best of the Springs.

Dr. Anderson’s path into dentistry began with his father’s example.
