What Types of Sedation Treatments Are Offered at Espire Dental Lone Tree?

Sedation dentistry uses medication to help patients relax during dental procedures. It’s an ideal solution for those who experience dental anxiety, have a sensitive gag reflex, or need extensive work done. At Espire Dental, we offer several levels of sedation to suit your needs, including:

  • Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas): A mild sedative that helps you relax during your procedure while remaining awake and responsive.
  • Oral Conscious Sedation: A prescription sedative taken before your appointment, allowing you to feel calm and at ease while staying awake.
  • IV Sedation: Administered intravenously, this deeper level of sedation allows you to feel as if you’re asleep during the procedure, with little to no memory of the treatment.

No matter your level of anxiety or the type of procedure you need, we’ll help you select the sedation option that’s right for you.

Benefits of Sedation Dentistry

Sedation dentistry offers several key benefits for patients who may otherwise avoid dental care due to fear or discomfort:

  1. Comfort and Relaxation: Sedation helps you feel calm and relaxed throughout your visit, eliminating the stress that often comes with dental procedures.
  2. Efficient Treatment: With sedation, we can often complete more work in a single visit, meaning fewer appointments for you.
  3. Reduced Gag Reflex: Sedation can help suppress a sensitive gag reflex, making it easier to perform treatments without discomfort.
  4. Little to No Memory: With deeper levels of sedation, many patients have little to no recollection of their procedure, providing a truly anxiety-free experience.
  5. Safe and Customizable: Our sedation options are safe and tailored to your specific needs, ensuring you receive the right level of care.

ESPIRE CARE PLAN
For patients without Dental Insurance, Espire Dental offers our Espire Care Plan, our dental savings plan that will help you eliminate insurance worries and maximize your savings.

Sedation dentistry is safe when administered by experienced professionals. We will review your medical history and closely monitor you during the procedure to ensure your safety.

It depends on the type of sedation. With nitrous oxide or oral conscious sedation, you’ll remain awake but deeply relaxed. IV sedation can make you feel as though you’re asleep, with little to no memory of the procedure.

Recovery time varies depending on the type of sedation used. Nitrous oxide wears off quickly, while oral or IV sedation may require several hours of recovery at home. We’ll give you clear instructions for post-treatment care.

If you receive nitrous oxide, you’ll be able to drive yourself home. However, for oral or IV sedation, you’ll need someone to drive you home, as the effects can linger for several hours.

Sedation may be covered if it’s deemed medically necessary. Our team will work with you to understand your insurance benefits and discuss financing options if needed.

We’ll give you detailed instructions before your visit. Depending on the type of sedation, you may need to avoid food and drink for several hours beforehand and arrange for someone to drive you home.
